Sacro-iliac Joint Relief

Sacroiliac joint dysfunction is a term used to describe pain in the sacroiliac joint.ย  This is a condition caused by a slight mis-alignment or too much or too little movement in the joint.

ย

Sacroiliac joint pain is one of the COMMON lower back issues I see!ย ย

But what is this?ย ย

The sacroiliac joints (SIJ) are the area where the tailbone fits into the pelvis, and should allow for only a few degrees of motion.ย  They are like shock absorbers & connect our upper and lower body.

Around 20% of cases are pregnancy related due to hormones, and other times its either due to an impact, or lots of micro-trauma over time.

Pain in the SIJ area is a sign that we may have issues AROUND where we experience it – not just the point itself…

So with SIJ pain, check:

๐Ÿ‘‰ your core strength
๐Ÿ‘‰ your glute strength
๐Ÿ‘‰ your hip mobility

Getting the above in check, will really give your sacroiliac joints the support & ideal range of movement.

Here is just a snippet of the full guided video waiting for you in the online studio this month!ย  This routine is key for core & sacroiliac support & works really well as homework between any 1:1 time you may be having with myself or another professional.

Save this blog,ย and do share with a friend who might need this!

If you are unsure, do get in touch, as there are specific assessments & rehab that I can tailor to you.
