Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what women (and a few great men!) actually need more of.
And honestly?
I don’t think it’s another intense fitness challenge or more “pressure to stay on track”.
Am I on the right lines here?….
I think women need:
Support.
Connection.
Consistency
~ that feels realistic ~
And spaces where they can exhale a little.

One thing I often say inside the online studio is:
Small things done often calm the nervous system far more than all-or-nothing bursts ever will.
Even 10 minutes of movement can change how your body feels.
Especially when that movement is helping you:
✨ breathe more deeply
✨ create space in tight hips and shoulders
✨ reconnect with your core and pelvic floor
✨ build strength without overwhelming your body

And what I love most about this lil’ community of “home pilates practice” is that it’s become so much more than “online Pilates”…after all, it was our literal lifeline through COVID, and 6 years on I LOVE that these women get that the little and often movement optimises their body and brain
It’s also women chatting about:
– how much better they slept after mobility week
– feeling stronger carrying grandchildren or shopping
– reminding each other to slow down and breathe
– celebrating tiny wins that actually matter
The videos members often love most aren’t always the hardest ones either.
They’re the:
✨ 10-minute nervous system resets
✨ mindful glute and hip-opening Barre sessions
✨ Pilates for a calm, strong body
✨ upper body release flows after stressful days
✨ pelvic floor and deep core sessions that finally make sense
Each week we celebrate “wins of the week” together ~ sometimes it’s less pain, more energy or simply showing up consistently after a hard week. And at the end of each month, there’s a little prize draw for members too, just to keep things fun and encouraging.
This is what community looks like to me.
Not perfection..
Not pressure..
Just women supporting themselves ~ and each other ~ back towards feeling strong, calm and connected again.
